The chords that I used. they were layered 3 times for a smooth melodic effect. I actually got these chords by randomly playing these notes as a descending riff. I realised that I liked their sound and so I turned them into ascending notes, swapped the 3rd and 4th so it sounded more like a progression.

An image of the layout of the whole song. It can be divided into 3 main segments, the first 2 being very similar and the last section is slightly different with a focus on the main chorus melody. The song is 2minutes and 55 seconds which is fairly average for a song in this genre and it conforms to the genre well.

A bassline melody riff. I wanted something simple, yet sounded nice and blended well with the rest of the song. I started off with the main chords and tried playing these at lower octaves and mixing the order and pace up, no matter what I tried it still didn't sound good using the same notes and sounds over and over, and seemed to spoil the main melody. I instead picked only 2 notes and simply repeated these 2, and the simplicity seemed to work.

A very basic almost arppegiating sounding riff, based off of the chord progressions. it is played quickly and help adds to the rising energy of the song during the pre chorus build up.

A chord progression played in 4/4 I did infact choose not to layer this, as the song started to sound too heavy and reverberated as I had layered many of the other parts.

The main melodic riff, present throughout the chorus, pre chorus and bridge sections of the song. I developped this by experimenting from the chord progressions, but the one this I felt confident in from the start was the even note length and spacings.
